update.

I am terribly dissappointed in
Mindless Self Indulgence's new album.
"If"

I finally got the chance to listen to it
in its entirety.

and it's pretty much terrible.

It sounds like a collection of all the songs that
didn't make it onto
"You'll rebel to Anything..."

ergh.

In other news:
Miley Cyrus wants to be Avril Lavigne.
her new song is on FUSE all the damn time and
it sounds like Avril Lavigne.

also.
The Jonas Bros.' new song is EXACTLY
like Maroon 5's "Makes Me Wonder".

Not that I care.

So.
So.
Happy.

I bought my Vans.

I've been looking for these damn shoes for months.
(or at least it seems like it).

Finally found them in my size and all.

Sweet. Sour. Gone.

We stocked up on crap

for the trip home,

which consists of:

PLANE (4 hours) >> LAYOVER (2 hours) >> PLANE (4 hours)

Note To Self:

These are the necessities for a long-ass trip.
Music Magazines & a shitload of candy.

It feels like summer's ending, but it's not.

Well...
I'm packing.
Fun.

Time to go back to Maryland...
though, not for very long,
in all honesty.

Our plane arrives in Baltimore LATE LATE on the 10th,
and my train to New York leaves EARLY EARLY on the 11th.

So, I shouldn't be tired at all. =)

I am beyond concievably excited to go to New York.
Holy Holy Shit.

{Listening To: "Meds" -Placebo}

Piercing.

Oh,
& I got my ears pierced again yesterday.

Last year I had about 9 in each year
but I got a really vicious infection
and had to take more than half of them out.

SO..
I decided I'm going to slowly re-pierce them
& yesterday I got 2 cartilages done.

(the one with the arrows pointing to them.)

errr..

Well...

We went to see
HANCOCK
at the theatre yesterday.

I kind of hate Will Smith as an actor...
then again, his singing is pretty wretched too.
The movie was quite bad..
and had way too many plot holes....
the ending was semi-redeemable though.

Also, he makes THIS SAME DAMN FACE throughout the whole movie.

I've given up making creative titles.

So..I forgot about this
but a couple days ago we watched
PSYCHO.

Crazy-ass fucking movie.

...still.

& today, we saw

WALL-E

It was, no doubt,

THE Best Animated movie I've seen in...years.

It was perfect.
Not to over-think it, but it was really deep
& a lot more meaningful than it let on.
I suppose a lot of people will go to it
and just love how adorable the robots are and all...

but there is more to it.

Unlike most animated films,
Wall-E involves ideas,
not just mindless scenes of animals karate chopping things.

..still going...

On Sunday we rented

ONCE.

Meh..
It was sweet, I suppose.
It was pretty cool that it was a true story
& that the people were playing themselves.
& of course I respect that they wrote all the songs themselves.

But...it was still kind of boring, repetitive...dull...any other synonyms...

{Listening To: "Surgically Removing The Tracking Device" - Say Anything}

WFF continued.

Then, on Sunday night
Anna & I couldn't get to sleep so we decided to watch a movie.

The only movie we could find at my Grandma's house was:

EVER AFTER

I remember this used to be my absolute favorite movie.
I hadn't seen it in about 5 years.

It's beautiful.

{Listening To: "Another Innocent Girl" -Alkaline Trio}

Weekend Film Fest

More movies this weekend.
Of Course.

First off:

THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP

It was...fantastical.
Gael Garcia Bernal is enchanting.
The whole movie was an insane mindfuck.

{Listening To: "Stupid Kid" -Alkaline Trio}

CD COLLECTION EXPANSION.

...Working on my CD collection
=)

Today's purchases
happen to be two of my all-time favorite albums:

"The Walking Wounded" - Bayside

"In Defense Of The Genre" - Say Anything

Hair.

So.

I got my hair cut.
Just a bit.

& When I was dyeing Anna's hair
I decided to use the leftover dye to
funkify my hair.

=D

{WATCHING DAVE CHAPELLE}

Thursday, July 3, 2008

Taste my rainbow.

So so so so...

I really should stop posting.

but yeah.

I'm going to cut my hair.
I really want to grow it out..
but I don't want to re-dye all of it because I want to grow out my natural color...

SO.
I'm going to keep cutting it short until
my natural color grows out completely.

In the meantime...
I think I'm going to dye it some crazy-ass color.

Life is not a sum of its parts, kiddo.

Anna & I watched
THE UNITED STATES OF LELAND.

It came out in 2003.

WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS MOVIE UNTIL NOW?!?!?

It is fantastic.
Everything about it.
The characters.
The way it takes on life & tragedy & dealing with life & tragedy...
& state of mind...

Holy fucking christ.
It is extraordinary.
Ryan Gosling is absolutely phenomenal.
..yet again.

Why did I used to think that all there was to him
was The Notebook?

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

HOLY HELL.

We saw WANTED
at the movie theatre today.

It was abso-fucking-lutely
THE WORST movie I've seen since...
Pearl Harbor? probably.

There were but TWO redeemable factors.

ONE: Angelina Jolie is fucking hot.

TWO: James McAvoy is pretty cute
& has some rad quotable lines.

What's your favorite color, punk?

So...The Black Parade Is Dead!
is out in stores.

I actually went to Hastings
to just SEE it on the shelf.
LOSER.

yeah.
Unfortunately..
my special edition version is at my house in Maryland
waiting for me...

& I'm in Arizona.
perfect.

grr.

Rawr.

So...yes.

The German movie we watched yesterday WAS about
a gay rowing team.
(& by German, I mean we had to have subtitles)

It was really good, I have to admit.
It sort of fell on trite gay-kid cliches...
but hardly as much as most American films that feature
gay youth.

It was akward & sweet & emotional.

...and the actors were absolutely perfect.

I'm in live with the main guy.
His name was Tobi.

Thank you Hastings.

CD collection update:

-"Nightmare Anatomy"- Aiden.

BLOCKBUSTER OWNS.

We went thrift store hunting again =)
I got a rad black jean jacket
& a light blue cardigan.

THEN, we went to Blockbuster to rent some foreign films.

First up:

CATERINA VA IN CITTA'

It was alright.
At first the characters were really hard to like.
They were just irritating.
Especially the father. ugh.

But in the end they were redeemed.
I am now in love with various lovely boys & girls from that movie.

Especially the girl on the right here <3

Next up is some German movie, I think...
I think it's about a gay rowing team??
